Night Diver Specialty

Class Description: A dive site may be one kind of experience during the day and a totally different one at night. Don't miss out on what nocturnal life comes out at your favorite dive site after the son goes down. Learn about planning night dives, and using equipment and techniques that will make you a better diver at night.

About the Class: You begin by getting the Night Diver Manual and completing the Knowledge Reviews. We have a classroom session to discuss dive planning, special equipment and techniques involved in night diving. We then complete two boat dives, where you put what you learned into practice.

What You Can Do: You will be able to dive your regular dive sites at night for a whole new diving experience. You will use flashlights and other gear to see what comes out after dark.

Prerequisites: Info coming soon.

Equipment: You will need a good underwater flashlight and a backup light. Many divers use strobes to help other divers keep track of them.

Costs: Info coming soon.

What's Next: Increase your night diving skills by taking the Underwater Navigator course. The Night Diver Specialty counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating.
